Chiropractor or Biomechanics Training — Which Do You Actually Need?

An honest breakdown of both, from a facility that regularly works alongside chiropractors — and receives referrals from them.

If your back, neck, or joints keep bothering you, you've probably considered a chiropractor — or you already see one, feel great walking out, and find the same tightness creeping back by the weekend.

That's not a failure of chiropractic. It's the difference between receiving a correction and training your body to hold one.

    What Chiropractic Care Does Well

Chiropractors are licensed healthcare providers who diagnose and treat, primarily through manual adjustment. For acute joint restriction, sudden loss of mobility, or getting out of a pain spike, an adjustment can bring real, immediate relief.

Many of our clients see one. Some of our referral partners are chiropractors — including the structural-integration and manual-therapy professionals who send clients to us.

    Where Biomechanics Training Is Different

An adjustment changes your joint position in the moment. But the muscles and movement habits that pulled the joint out of place walk out of the clinic with you. If you sit, stand, walk, and train the same way, your body tends to recreate the same pattern — which is why the relief can feel like it's on a timer.

Biomechanics training works on that other side of the equation: we retrain how your muscles hold and move your structure — standing, walking, rotating, absorbing force — so your body maintains better alignment on its own. It's not a treatment you receive. It's a capability you build.

The Honest Answer: It's Often Not Either/Or

Plenty of our clients pair the two: their chiropractor handles acute flare-ups, and training addresses why the flare-ups keep happening.

If you've been adjusted for the same issue for months or years, that's usually the sign the missing piece is on the training side.
